"It's Time to Return to Family!" The family unit is God's gift to mankind to experience the benefit and joy of community even as the Godhead. As a result, Satan seeks to destroy the foundation of what God intended for the family to look like and function. Never before has there been such a constant and ongoing assault on the family as evidenced by the following: * The United States Supreme Court legalized abortion on demand on January 22, 1973, throughout all nine months of pregnancy and in all 50 states. Since that time, an estimated 44 million babies have been aborted that's one every twenty seconds. * In 2003, judges in Massachusetts and San Francisco ruled that their state may not deny the protections and benefits to two individuals of the same sex who wish to marry; thereby legalizing marriage of homosexual couples. This act resulted in more than 4,000 homosexual couples to be married in these states. On May 3, 2005, Portland, Oregon began marrying homosexual couples. * Twenty-seven (27%) of those describing themselves as born-again Christian are currently or have previously been divorced compared to 24% among other adults. Those of the Baptist denomination have the highest divorce rate of any other Christian denomination and are more likely to get a divorce than atheists and agnostics according to a national survey. * The typical US congregation draws an adult crowd that's 61% female, 39% male. More than 90% of American men believe in God and five out of six call themselves Christian. However, only two out of six attend church on a given Sunday. The average man accepts the reality of Jesus Christ, but fails to see any value in going to church. As you can see from just the above statistics, the family structure is definitely under attack! As Christians who understand the value and priority of raising our family in the fear and admonition of the Lord, we must invest spiritual principles and qualities in order to give our children the benefits of God's prosperity. This is why I am asking you to join me at our 1st Family Mega Retreat, which will focus on biblical truths God gives for generational prosperity. We are calling this retreat, "It's Time to Return to Family". From Saturday, June 24 - 27, 2006, we will learn what God has to say to and about the family unit. In the past, retreats with our families were separated; however, this retreat has been structured so that no family member has to be left at home. There will be sessions for women, men, married couples, singles, youth and children. We have also scheduled ample time for you and your family to vacation together and take advantage of the many activities this facility has to offer.
